Earlier this month, The Celebrity Agency (TCA), which is part of Mediacorp's artiste management division, revealed its partnership with China's Huanyu Entertainment.
This collaboration aims to create additional international opportunities for talents from both organizations.
Mediacorp artists Ayden Sng, Hong Ling, and Chantalle Ng will be represented by Huanyu in China, whereas Chinese stars Xu Kai and Wu Jinyan will be represented by TCA in Singapore and Malaysia.
Xu Kai, 28, and Wu Jinyan, 33, gained widespread recognition for their performances as the charming Imperial Guard Fucha Fuheng and the clever palace maid-turned-empress Wei Yingluo in the 2018 series Story of Yanxi Palace.

The duo reunited last year for the historical drama Royal Feast, further establishing their status as one of China's most beloved on-screen pairs.
With their recent contracts signed with TCA, there is a possibility that we might see these two stars in future local productions.
Xu Kai has yet to visit Singapore, but that may soon change. What activities is he eager to pursue during his potential trip?
In an email, he shared, “If the opportunity arises, I would love to explore the National Gallery and see Clarke Quay illuminated at night.”

Conversely, Jinyan first arrived in Singapore in 2019 as a guest presenter at the Star Awards. Unfortunately, her schedule was packed, leaving her little time to explore the city.
“I returned to Singapore earlier this year for a longer stay, which allowed me to immerse myself in the culture and sample some local dishes. I enjoyed bak kut teh and even took a yacht trip where I witnessed some breathtaking views,” Jinyan explains, expressing her desire to try “local street food” on her next visit.
Both Xu Kai and Jinyan recognize their fanbase in Singapore.
“At an event, a group of fans informed me they had flown in from Singapore just to see me,” Xu Kai recalls. “I was deeply moved and could truly sense their enthusiasm.”
Jinyan echoes this sentiment, describing her Singaporean fans as “enthusiastic.”
“I am grateful for their support, and I will strive to deliver even better projects for them,” she adds.
